What is the vermont energy efficiency rebates?
The Vermont Energy Efficiency Rebate Program provides incentives to Vermonters who purchase energy efficient heating and cooling appliances. The rebates can be combined with other tax credits, such as the Vermont ROOM or Vermont State Income Tax Credits.
The Vermont Energy Efficiency Rebate Program (VEERP) will help Vermonters save money on energy costs by providing them subsidies for installing energy efficient heating and cooling systems.
The Vermont Energy Efficiency Rebate Program will improve the efficiency of Vermont’s homes so that residents can save money on their energy bills.
In order to qualify, homes can’t use more than two thirds of the state’s average energy use. Rebates are available for insulation, heating equipment, and hot water heaters as well as solar panels that are installed.
How does Vermont Efficiency operate?
Efficiency Vermont provides rebates on several items, including appliances, weatherization, and heating systems. Additionally, we disclose utility subsidies for certain items, such as heat pumps and heat pump water heaters.
EFFICIENCY VERMONT PERFORMS HOME ENERGY AUDITS?

Instead, we’ll assist you in locating a local contractor who can assist you throughout the entire procedure. Additionally, our Customer Service staff may do a free telephone home energy evaluation for you.
Vermont’s best rebate for homeowners.
Insulation and airtightness
Working with an EEN contractor (best value) will save you up to $2,000 and 75% of applicable project costs.
While financing lasts, Vermonters with moderate incomes receive a 75% discount, up to $5,000.
DIY: Get $100 back for doing qualifying tasks including installing storm windows, weatherstripping windows and doors, and caulking attic and basement air leaks.
Water Heating, and cooling
Air-to-water heat pumps are eligible for a $1,000/ton subsidy and a $500 income bonus.
Discounts starting at $1,000 at distributors that participate plus a $200 earning bonus.
Discount on ductless systems starting at $350 at distributors that participate, plus a $200 revenue bonus.
Ground source: $500 in income bonus and up to a $2,100/ton refund for equipment that qualifies.
Ductless heat pump integrated controls: up to a $600 incentive for qualified equipment
At participating wholesalers, high-performance circulator pumps are discounted $15 to $50.
Smart thermostats: certain ENERGY STAR devices are eligible for a reward of up to $100.
Water heaters: Depending on the heat pump model, $300–600 plus a $200 income incentive.
Window air conditioners: Some ENERGY STAR models are eligible for a $100 refund.
Wood pellet heaters and furnaces: $6,000 in rebates
Stoves made of wood pellets and cord wood are $200 cheaper at participating merchants.
Lighting
Select ENERGY STAR LED lighting are cheaper at selected shops.
Indoor growing with LEDs: $100 rebate for eligible fixtures
Electric cars
Up to $7,500 in federal tax credits, $4,000 in state incentives, and $500 to $2,500 in electric utility credits are available.
Through MileageSmartVT.org, Vermonters may save up to $5,000 extra on a used electric vehicle.

1.Burlington Electric Department
Municipally owned Burlington Electric Department is renowned for its cutting-edge initiatives. In the spring of 2018, VBike and Local Motion unveiled this ground-breaking program after working with the utility for a year to explore the prospect of e-bike refunds. 2. Green Mountain Power
About a year after the Burlington Electric Department started offering its refund option, the people at Green Mountain Power decided to start offering one in May 2019.
The key factor in this case is that GMP has over 265,000 members and covers almost all of Vermont.

3. The VPPSA e-bike rebates
Barton Village, Village of Enosburg Falls, Hardwick Electric Department, Village of Jacksonville, Village of Johnson, Ludlow Electric Light Department, Lyndonville Electric Department, Morrisville Water & Light, Northfield Electric Department, Village of Orleans, Swanton Village are all covered by the VPPSA e-bike rebates.
4. Washington Electric CO-OP
Incentive amount is restricted to $200 or 50% of the purchase price; only available on new e-bike purchases.
