Is Aptera a car or Motorcycle?
The Aptera is a three-wheeled, two-passenger solar electric car developed by Aptera Motors. It is a highly efficient battery electric vehicle (BEV) with solar panels incorporated into the roof and dashboard, as well as optionally on the hood and hatch, with two or three wheel hub motors and an estimated range of up to 1,000 miles (1,600 km) with its largest battery pack.
What is the Aptera EV’s top speed?
The top speed is 110 mph.
The Aptera’s peak speed is electrically restricted to 110 mph. Given the quick acceleration, Rousch suspension, and superb, industry-leading aerodynamics, it appears that the 110 mph top speed, although absolutely acceptable for road use, is likely to be far lower than its real capability.

How big is Aptera in comparison to normal cars?
The Aptera, although being a three-wheeled Coupé for two people, is not a tiny vehicle. It is taller and broader than a Toyota Prius or a Tesla Model S, with an overall height of 57 inches (1,448 mm), width of 88 inches (2,235 mm), and front wheel tracking distance of 77 inches (1,956 mm). The wheelbase of the Aptera (108 inches (2,743 mm)) is longer than that of the Prius. It is as long as a Prius at 177 inches (4,496 mm). The Aptera, on the other hand, has a larger luggage capacity (25 cubic foot (708 L)) than the Prius (21.6 cubic foot (612 L)) or the Tesla Model 3 (15 cubic foot (425 L)).
Can I charge Aptera with a typical 120 or 240 Volt power source?
Yes you can.
Using common Level 1 and Level 2 charging station technology, the Aptera will also be able to charge from regular 120 and 240 volt AC outlets. The car will also take high-speed charges via CCS DC chargers, according to Aptera Co-CEO Chris Anthony, who made the announcement in January 2020.
A shot of what looks to be a Tesla Supercharger-shaped connection being inserted into the Aptera’s charging port was included in Aptera Motors’ December 4, 2020, announcement of the Aptera solar-powered prototype.
